Welcome to Apna Darzi. Your privacy and the confidentiality of your customer records are our top priorities. This Privacy Policy outlines how the Apna Darzi mobile application handles, stores, and protects data.
1. Offline-First Architecture & Core Data Storage
- Local Processing: Apna Darzi operates entirely offline. All customer records, booking numbers, clothing specifications, measurements, tags, and notes are processed and stored locally on your device hardware using an embedded, sandboxed database.
- No Third-Party Analytics/Tracking: The application does not contain third-party tracking, profiling tools, behavioral analytics, or advertising SDKs.
2. Google Drive Backup Integration
- Hidden App Data Storage: If you choose to enable the Google Drive backup feature, the application uses the restricted
drive.appdata scope.
- Scope of Access: The application only reads and writes its own specific backup files within a dedicated, hidden Application Data folder on your personal Google Drive account.
- Zero Access to Personal Files: Apna Darzi cannot access, view, modify, or delete any other files, documents, photos, or data residing on your Google Drive account.
- User Control: Cloud backups are initiated strictly by the user or on a scheduled local job. You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings.
3. Data Sharing and Transfer
- No Server Collection: We operate no central servers or databases. We do not collect, sell, lease, or transmit your records to any third party.
- Direct Cloud Transfer: Any synchronization takes place directly between your local mobile device and Google’s encrypted infrastructure via official Google APIs.
4. Data Retention and Erasure
- Local Control: You retain full ownership and control over your records. Deleting a record or uninstalling the application purges the local database immediately from your device storage.
- Cloud Backup Removal: To delete your cloud backups, disconnect the app or manage hidden app data directly from Google Drive settings on the web (Settings > Manage Apps > Apna Darzi).
5. Permissions
The application requests only the minimal permissions required to function reliably on Android:
- Internet Access: Exclusively used to communicate with Google Drive APIs during backup events.
- Ignore Battery Optimizations: Requested optionally to ensure scheduled background backups execute without being terminated by the operating system.
